Very useful information about flu vaccines. Granted, the article revolves around one particular scientists opinion, so I dont know that its 100% trustworthy. I personally choose not to get them for many reasons, including (1) influenza is mostly an inconsequential, uncomfortable inconvenience (2) while the research is not conclusive, its quite possible that there may be life-long detrimental side effects associated with the vaccine (3) I havent seen enough evidence that the vaccine is even effective in preventing influenza, especially since the strains included in the vaccine are only based on predictions. For me, there just arent sufficient benefits to outweigh the potential consequences.
