Volunteer Photographer Opportunity! We are in need of five volunteer photographers to assist us THIS WEDNESDAY as we shoot Aloha United Way’s “Day In The Life of Aloha United Way” photo project. Here is your chance to get involved and help share all of the great work being done at our partner agencies; we are inviting you to participate in our second annual, “Day in the Life” Project. Last year, Aloha United Way partnered with Honolulu Magazine to create a collection of photos of non-profit work across our community. The work was showcased in a piece entitled “A Day in the Life of Aloha United Way.” The photo essay was distributed as an insert in the May 2014 issue of Honolulu Magazine. For reference purposes, an online version of “A Day In The Life Of Aloha United Way” can be found at : honolulumagazine/Honolulu-Magazine/May-2014/Documenting-a-Day-in-the-Life-of-Hawaiis-Aloha-United-Way/ Similar to last year, we invite you to be a part of our a team of volunteer professional photographers to capture powerful “moments” of our partner agencies in action. The shoot will take place THIS Wednesday January 28, 2015 over a 24-hour time period. Shoot times will vary depending on the assignment. This year’s theme involves a 24-hour, day in the life timeframe. We are looking for candid’s of agency activities that may fit not only in a traditional 9a-5p timeframe, but also before and thereafter, including activities that take place in the wee hours of the early morning to the late hours of the night and everywhere in between. The credit page of this book will also include your bio and contact info. We also plan a lot of promotion around the release of this special edition which we believe people will go a long way in showcasing your talent as well.
