W E’ R E H I R I N G Purchasing & Production Coordinator ( Interiors ) Full – time position Brand: House of Hackney Location: Head Office – Shoreditch, London Closing date for applications - Friday 16TH May 2014 House of Hackney was founded in London in 2010 by Javvy M Royle and Frieda Gormley. Originally founded as an interiors label, the brand has successfully grown to offer a full portfolio of homewares and fashion products, with an emphasis on quality, design and Made in England. House of Hackney operates two London based stores and is stocked in 35 luxury department and concept stores worldwide. As a fast- growing brand with ambitious growth plans House of Hackney is expanding its team and as such we are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated purchasing & production co-coordinator to join the Interiors team. JOB ROLE As a purchasing and production coordinator for the fast growing Interiors department (fabric, wallpaper, cushions, furniture and lighting) the candidate will be responsible for the administration of products and suppliers within these areas. The particular focus of this role is effective stock availability, purchasing and supply chain management, working closely with the merchandiser to review current supplier and trading performance and their contribution to the business drawn from analysis and commercial awareness. The candidate will also manage the order process and production of wholesale and bespoke retail orders liaising with the wholesale and store teams to ensure orders are produced are on time and customers given timely updates .The candidate will be responsible for new product development in his/ her areas, directing the Interiors collection launch process in line with the calendar; ensuring all components of each collection are brought together in time for collection launch and within budget. REQUIREMENTS • To be recent graduate and / or experienced production co-coordinator looking to pursue a career within the buying and merchandising function. • Preferable passion for and experience in Interiors field • Sound planning and negotiation skills • Good self-organization and willingness to learn • Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task across projects • Ability to secure best prices, lead-times and conditions with suppliers • Experience at critical path management • Analytical and commercial: Ability to forecast and drive sales; identify opportunities and risks • Creative and decisive: keen eye and instinct for trends, colours, styles and public demand, with thorough understanding of the brand vision • Have a highly analytical approach and understand the strengths of the brand • Proactively/constantly identify new opportunities for the brand • Excellent written and verbal English communications • Ability to work in a fast paced environment • Flexible to working and achieving goals as part of a growing team • Self-motivated, proactive, organised and dedicated • Ambition to grow House of Hackney into a global lifestyle brand APPLICATION Candidates who would like to apply for this position please send through your CV and cover letter to careers@houseofhackney Closing date for applications - Friday 16TH May 2014
