WE MUST DEFEND OUR VOTES: It was general Muhammmadu Buhari, who first postulated and advocated for Nigerians to defend their votes after casting it. (Akasa, A sare, A raka, Kuma Ajira). The proponent of this initiation knows the reasons why he advocated for the initiation of the theory into Nigerian politics, more than any other person, I presumed. As we are fast approaching the 2015 elections, we must awaken from our limbo and be mindful of the happenings within the nations politics. Apparently the so called biggest and largest political party in Africa, have since started crumbling and grumbling. They are now completely in state of fiasco. This was informed by their recent utterences, unconscious and conscious actions, overt as well as covert actions exhibited in the recent time calls for reawakening of the citizens from their deep sleeping. The PDP which has been controlling the centre for about fifteen years now, have not performed to the expectations of the citizens of this country, they have no visible projects that they can show to the people, for reelection of PDP in all states of the federation. Nigerian were better up 15 years back than now! isnt ironic?. Life become short, nasty, solitary and brutish under the 15 years of PDP government in Nigeria. Poverty has gotten deep-down into the fabrics of the Nigerian society. The scenario above, has reawarken the populace, as people became conscious of the happenings with the larger body politics has sent a signal to them, that Nigerians are no longer with them. That is why they are now making some startagis for rigging the 2015 elections. not knowing that Nigerians are now wiser and more conscious that what they were. what happened in Yobe state recently, where the vote of 20 people are said to be greater than 575 votes. It is also a common knowledge for all of us in this country that, PDP had also declared that 16 was greater than 19! what a drama of the year! even in a critical mathematics this can not be possible. They have been practicing this for some time now, and they have been coming out of it successfully. By extention and implication they wanted to apply it to the larger society. Recently, some nPDP members of Borno extraction were quoted as saying that, 2015 elections of Borno, will be decided in Abuja, isnt it unfortunate to have heard this from some so called educated illiterates in PDP camps? Therefore, in view of what we have been seen and hearing we must get prepared for the show of what general Buhari advocated to Nigerians, meaning we must cast our votes to a party of our choice and protect that votes, follow our it to the colaton centres and wait for the announcement of the results. I think it is very easy to do that, its just a day sacrifice. I think all those who want this country can do just that, so that this country will be saved from the eminent collapse in the hand of PDP government. We must wake up and protect our votes. May Allah restore peace in my beloved state.
