WEEKEND QUILTING BREAK – October 11th,12th and 13th Two days workshops, two nights B&B, dinner Saturday evening The theme of the workshops will be LOG CABIN SCRAPS. Explore all the possibilities of log-cabin, and how this endlessly versatile pattern can be designed to best use your scraps. We will look at formal and improvisational, pieced and foundation stitched, symmetrical and asymmetrical, fancy corners and secondary patterns, we’ll try them all. Get confidence with colour. Design the quilts that make best use of your stash, and suit your way of working, whether you’re a ‘speed merchant’ or ‘slow and steady’. Arrive Friday 10th, settle in, and enjoy a lakeside walk. The bar serves excellent food if you want an evening meal. We will have a beautiful sewing space for Saturday and Sunday, with a wall of windows overlooking the lake and a weather-proof view! We will have dinner together on Saturday night in the Castle Lough Restaurant.
