WHY THE DIFFERENT TREATMENT OF DISSENTING UPDF OFFICERS? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From the time he took power in 1986, Museveni has seen a number of army officers who have fallen out with him, while others like Jim Muhwei engaged themelves in huge theft of public funds,It has now become clear that , Museveni is only willing to pardon and forgive certain dissenting army officers depending on where they come from, and a particular sub-ethnic grpoup (to which Museveni belongs), has benefitted alot from this pardon,Dissenting officers from this sub-ethnic group are arrested and kept under house arrest or at officers mess, while others from other tribes like Bakiga, Baganda, non-Bahima from Ankole, Luos etc are forced to spend ages in exile, or are poisoned to death and others are incacerated on false charges.
