Public service is a privilege and those elected or appointed should be appreciative of the opportunity. Public service is an assignment, not entitlement. It is therefore time-bound. One must enter, serve and exit. Public service does not entail condemning your predecessors or reluctant to give credit to them. This is a misguided attitude. It is vital that people come into public service with a vision. It is more helpful to manage affairs in a way that changes society fir the better. Public servants should select and undertake a legacy project from the broader development agenda, as people remember leaders who make a positive difference in their lives.
