Was it Worth It? (Heb. 10:25) -by Jeremiah Clancy Oh how my broken heart aches For those unattending fakes. I ask and beg and plead, But maybe I am to bleed. Can you love God and His, But forsake church and miss? What could be worth so much To make excuses your crutch? If Jesus were right here, Would you be near? If He took up roll-call, How much could you stall? Can you love God and His, But forsake church and miss? Or would you have riches, And your gap be filled with stitches? Now, I speak not to those Who daily battle our foes. For some truly cannot come And feel Gods love sum. Can you love God and His, But forsake church and miss? The most Christ could do He did. Will your face not be hid? Bless you, servant of God, For through it all you trod. Through sickness, fire, and flame. God will put you in His hall of fame. Can you love God and His, But forsake church and miss? Not forsaking the assembling... As ye see the day approaching.
