Was listening on NPR a few minutes ago, to an interview where a woman was talking about her experience in Rwanda, during the genocide there. She said that neighbors, childhood friends, classmates etc, turned on each other in allegiance to tribal lines, as radio stations encouraged the ethnic cleansing as a good, righteous act. It made we wonder what the victims of this violence think of notions of solidarity based on skin color. Oppression is a human problem, its not a white man problem.
