Watched Good Will Hunting, hadnt seen it in forever. This is a movie that gets better as you get older, I think. I know I like it more than I did seeing it as a teenager. Just a great film. SUPERBLY written, great characters, great story, great acting. Gotta thank Kevin Smith for telling the Weinsteins that maybe this screenplay was worth pulling out of the trash, as he did. They trusted him, got the movie made and then the movie ends up winning 2 Oscars. One of those was for Robin Williams who is just outstanding. One of those performances that makes me think he had another 20 like it in his back pocket that we just never got to see. Its not your fault. That scene just wrecks me. Its like I am Groot. He says 4 words and its saying everything. Minnie Driver I especially love in this movie. Damn, I wish she was in more movies. Matt Damon of course is great. Ben Affleck, too. Theyve kinda gone onto some nice careers, havent they? Apparently they only work together in Kevin Smith films, it seems. So can he hurry up and make one so they can be together onscreen again? They got a Redford/Newman chemistry together. Is there a better owning scene that when Will just demolishes that guy in the bar with pure knowledge. At least I wont be unoriginal. This movie has one of the all-time great film endings, too. Seeing Chucky and Seans reaction to Will leaving is just perfect. Kevin Smith (mentioning him a lot right now) pointed out the similarity in this films ending and how The Dark Knight Rises ends, hes right. Anyway, this movie is brilliant. And really is original. Havent seen a movie thats even tried to rip it off. If you havent seen it in a while, or just ever, DEFINITELY watch it. Watch it for the apples.
