We See That We Have Gotten You Excited About The Exhibit! As we have explained before, this is the Sigal Museums very first costume exhibit, very first exhibit catalog, and it is important that costume fans do support these efforts. Visitor statistics make all the difference in the world! Although this was not the case with the board of the Sigal Museum, sometimes other museums suffer from boards who have the attitude of Who wants to see old clothes? Lets do a gun/pottery/railroad/coal mining exhibit. So start scheduling your field trips and support them! If you live too far away, call them and order their catalog--Director Karin wrote the preface--because it will be a collectors item. The Fashion Archives loves to support local costume efforts, and Director was heavily involved in this one as guest curator. So to keep the excitement going, here are a few more object photos, from the 1840s this time, to lure you to the little town of Easton (which has some great restaurants, too, by the way.
