We are back in Mbarara with very good wifi - it is great to check in and say Hi after being offline completely (even my phone was not on the network) for about a week. The weather has been cool, and we have moved locations a few times. Although we were in the one place for FOUR whole nights in a row! It felt lovely to settle in for that many days in a row. As I have been preaching 1, 2, or 3, times every day for over four weeks now, my throat is starting to give out. So I keep it wrapped in a scarf and am sipping hot honey and water in between times. This seems to be making quite a difference. We were all a bit sick last week. I had a cold/flu thing going on. Crystal had trouble with her stomach once more. And even Nelson had a few sniffles. But we are better now. For a few weeks we have implemented a day of rest for each of them per week, (so far Im taking half days as I am able and this is good - I am more used to the work and so even a half day leaves me feeling quite refreshed). The work is great, the people are great, the Lord is meeting us in each place again and again and again. Everywhere we go they want us to stay longer, but our schedule is completely booked of course and so we must keep moving on -- it is not easy to leave community after community. One of the pastors, Pastor Harriet, had a dream about 6 months ago. In her dream she saw whites coming to their church. And when she prayed about the dream the Lord told her that one of the three, a woman, would be very powerful in prayer and would bring healing to them. We were only with Ps. Harriet and the churches there for 30 hours, but brought inner healing and deliverance such that people round about began hearing what was going on and were beginning to come to the conference... just as we were leaving. It is the hardest part of what we are doing. There is so much need, vast amounts of pain upon pain and though we touch it with the hand of Christ, removing what can be removed in a day, there is just so much need and ongoing support required. I just keep praying for others who might want to give themselves to the healing of the body of Christ around the world. We keep hearing again and again, We have never had whites like you before. You come and you stay with us. You speak of things that we have never heard before. We had no expectations of whites as you. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for coming. Please come again soon.
