We are currently accepting applications for JSOs next Citizens Police Academy class. The class meets from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., once a week for 12 weeks. During the 12-week course, citizens learn how each division in the agency operates including each specialized JSO unit, such as the Bomb Squad, Narcotics and the SWAT Team. They also tour the Pre-Trial Detention Facility, Montgomery Correctional Center and the firing range. The next class is scheduled to begin on Thursday, January 22, 2015.
