We can do much better than this. While the nation is generally pessimistic, Michiganders believe that our great state is on the right track. But... according to this NBC poll, only 3% of the people believe that the state of this nation is strong. The other 97% deserve to feel the same way. Michigan, while still politically divided, can show the way out of this morass. So, I implore the president to set aside his whistle-stop Im going to use my executive pen tour, roll up his sleeves, and... Actually get to work. ~ Lets talk about tax policy that will attract ALL sectors of job creating industries from around the world ~ Lets deal with the regulatory policies that are choking job growth (Particularly the Affordable Care Act) ~ Let’s talk openly and honestly about the nation’s energy policy in a way that will re-grow America’s middle-class There are states that are fixing themselves in spite of the Washington DC wet-blanket on this country. The USA has too much potential to let mere words slow it down. America deserves better than having to live paycheck to paycheck. So… I call on industry and labor to stand together to change things for the better. Lets tell the president we want to build things… big things… private sector things! God Bless the USA
