We dont do torture, or perhaps we do after all, and us doing it is - TopicsExpress

We dont do torture, or perhaps we do after all, and us doing it is what makes it moral: Former Bush Chief of Staff Karl Rove, last seen in Norway in 2014 being given the red-carpet treatment by the government-supporting liberal-conservative think thank Civita on the grand occasion of him lecturing Civita on how to win elections using the dirtiest tricks in the book (be not suprised - after all, Norway now has a Conservative Party Foreign Minister in Børge Brende who likes to refer to one Henry Kissinger as his personal advisor - and lets by all means forget about Vietnam and Chile), evidently loves torture. I realise that being opposed to torture is now in the world that Civita lives in so moralistic and so yesterday, but would perhaps suggest that it cease to honour Rove, Bush and Cheney in this way in the future. bostonreview.net/blog/judith-levine-does-torture-work-immoral-question?utm_source=Newsletter%3A+December+30%2C+2014&utm_campaign=Dec+30%2C+2014+Newsletter&utm_medium=email
