We have a mouse/small rat trying to get into a storage cabinet with some pecans in it. It is part wood and mostly hardware cloth, but the rodent found the wood. I noticed the chew marks and it hasnt made it in yet, but I decided to try spraying the wood. Detergent didnt work. Texas Pete Hot sauce it liked, even to lick areas where it hasnt chewed. But good for anything, fix it all WD 40 did the trick. No chew marks for a week now and I have the can ready.
