We have some really very special news to share with everyone. Long before John and I married we discussed him adopting Peyton and Stillman. Afterall he has loved them since the first day he laid eyes on them. He views them as his own and they only know him as their daddy. THEY DONT KNOW ANY DIFFERENT. When Peyton learned that my last name had changed and that his sister was going to have a different last name as well he became confused and upset that his last name wasnt Whittington. So thats when we began the adoption process. It was his dying wish and unfortunately he wasnt around to see it fulfilled. But we knew he might not be so we went ahead and told him that he was a Whittington. He died knowing that his last name was the same as ours. Today, history was made in our family and in the state of Indiana. Not only was John approved of adopting Stillman but the judge happily approved Peytons adoption as well. Even after death! She said it was the right thing to do. He is the first case in Indiana to be approved. Im so proud of him and of my loving husband, John. PLEASE NOTE: STILLMAN ONLY KNOWS JOHN TO BE HIS REAL DADDY SO DO NOT CONGRATULATE HIM OR MAKE A BIG DEAL ABOUT IT TO HIM. IT WILL CONFUSE HIM AND BREAK HIS HEART. HE HAS HAD ENOUGH HEART ACHE FOR A FIVE YEAR OLD. when the time is right we will explain things to him. But right now we are just going to let him know that his mommy and daddy love him oh so much and really that is all that matters. I am so happy and so proud of my husband. As soon as it was all over we took Stillman to the indoor playground and then took a pumpkin to Peytons grave. We did it buddy! You are a Whittington! Happy Halloween little Spiderman. Mommy and Daddy love you.
