We here at The Body Is Not An Apology recently posted an article that used the body as a metaphor in ways that were pointed out to us by Rachel Cohen-Rottenburg to be ableist. Our mission is to celebrate all bodies and demonstrate how they are worthy of deeply radical love from the people who inhabit them and those that interact with them but this article accomplished the opposite of our goal. We are sincerely sorry for having shared something like that and we thank you for your patience and for always holding us accountable as we continue to grow in our own journeys of learning to appreciate, respect and love all bodies more deeply and radically.
