We love the stories that have been coming in while we celebrate our 25th year that we want to share some! #Live25 The year was 1992, I was a sophomore at The University of Michigan, living in the Sigma Nu house. A fraternity brother of mine had a girlfriend who went to SMU, and he was always playing this CD she gave him--two guys on acoustic guitars that called themselves Jackopierce. It didnt take long for the CD to became very popular throughout our fraternity house. Somehow, we convinced Jack and Cary to come to Ann Arbor and play a party. On April 11, 1992, they played in the fraternitys Chapter Room, this acoustically perfect hall that was built by a music professor back in the early 1900s. The room was packed and their performance was outstanding. I spent that next summer on the Vineyard with my cousin. We got word that Jackopierce was playing a bar in Oak Bluffs, so we drove across the island to see the show. My cousin was underage, but we convinced the kitchen help to let us in through the back door. Jack and Cary rocked the stage, and afterwards, we convinced Jack to come back with us to Chappaquiddick and hang out. There was a group of us partied on the beach and stayed up til the sunrise the next morning. Thanks for the fond memories, Jackopierce! Greg Louisville, CO
