How angelic do the women chanters sound! :) If youd like to help create a similar reality for Coptic Orthodox women in 2015, please read the following points on how you can help out this cause: **In case youre wondering how you could help any further:** While we greatly appreciate all of your continuous support joining, sharing and engaging in online discussion, the fact still remains that for positive change to happen, and for women deacons to become a lived REALITY, we need your efforts out there, in real life, in the field of your local parish. Things you could do to make this cause a reality for women include: 1. Raise this issue in your local church or parish and within church committees 2. Discuss this topic in your Sunday school classes, youth meetings, prayer meetings etc 3. Speak to your priests about including women into the liturgical choir for tasbeha ( vespers and vigils) 4. Approach your local bishop just like the parish of LA, South California did with bishop Serapion about having women as part of the local liturgical choirs 5. Refer people to this webpage for a wealth of information and both Eastern & Oriental Orthodox resources, academic articles, blogs, scholarly papers, videos, clips, podcasts and a multitude of supporting evidence 6. Write to the Holy Synod in Cairo about this cause to be seriously considered based on evidence and true Orthodox thought 7. Help with translation of the material we have on here from English into Arabic ( the language of Egypt) 8. If for some reason youre unable to do any of the above, then PRAY, pray, pray! Bottom line is: everyone needs to be proactive and rally in their own way.
