We would like to express our thanks to Brother Vic Bass with Faith Family Church and Bishop Oscar Dixon, Jr. with Overcomers through Faith Ministries. In a joint effort, a 83 year old man who was disoriented, scared, alone and lost at 2:20 in the morning was returned to his home in Longview. Our traveler had left Beckville Texas and had intentions to go home to Longview Texas, a 28 mile trip, was now 90 miles the wrong way as he continued south bound further from home. Officers Robles and Cheshire had stopped the driver due to him being called in as a reckless driver and officers immediately realized that this was not a normal traffic stop. Officers knew that they were now responsible for the safety of this gentlemen and would not let him leave their custody alone. Officers almost exhausted all possibilities of out side help until Brother Bass and Bishop Dixon made themselves available and returned him and his car to the safety of his home and family in Longview Texas.
