We would like you to consider and imagine these possible scenarios to enable you to understand how Worry may affect you. Everyone thinks that they understand what Worry is but do they ? What if you lose your job and have no money What if your partner decides to leave you What if you think that you made a mistake last week and that it means everything will fall apart What if you cant get these thoughts out of your mind What if you think that you are a born worrier What if you cant just chill out like all your friends/colleagues/partner tells you to do What if you are unable to just stop worrying ? It would be normal and natural in any of these situations to think about it for a few seconds or even minutes - BUT SOMEONE WHO WORRIES DOES THIS FOR MUCH LONGER AND MORE FREQUENTLY! There are many factors to consider with worry, such as life experience, parental and peer attitudes to stress and worry, work place micro cultures, family demands, and other difficulties you may have faced previously. You may even think that worry is good for you as it helps you to feel prepared.
