Weather Forecast for Kent – Sunday 20th July ’14. We are under the most weakest shallow low pressure where a just as weak weather front Is tangled up in it. A very slack set up where things are wandering around aimlessly. TODAY . . . Although there will be a fair amount of cloud about where it’ll be low enough to shroud high ground as hill fog, most of us may still get to catch the occasional glimpse of the sun at some point during the day. However, there is a risk of isolated popcorn thundery-type showers popping up in the afternoon so don’t be surprised to find yourself suddenly rushing for the nearest shelter. But, again, as always with such a showery set up, it’ll all be in the luck of the draw where some of us could get a soaking and others may stay high and dry. Despite all that cloud about, it will still be feeling warm at 21 C to 23 C (70 F to 73 F) under calm winds. Despite humidity levels still being on the high side, I do think we will appreciate it feeling less muggy and sticky anyway and pollen count are expected to be medium. However, regarding the line washing, it’s only going to be slow going and then it’ll get soaked if you are unlucky enough so I wouldn’t bother with it and just turn your underwear inside out if you haven’t got anything clean to wear (or go commando as it’s warm enough for it). TONIGHT . . . Any isolated showers still about in the evening are expected to die away before midnight and clear breaks will then develop as we go into the early hours. However, there may tend to be some mist patches about as our wind become a gentle north west. It is also going to be another mild night at 16 C to 17 C (61 F to 63 F) but shouldnt feel as close and oppressive as of recent. REST OF WEEK . . . Settled and dry with sunny spells and varied cloud amounts for most of the time. Quite warm at first, then tending to become very warm or even quite hot as we go into the second half of the week but (here’s that “but” again) with a risk of thundery showers breaking out on Friday and into – oh look, there’s a surprise – the weekend. Although I am getting ahead of myself at this point anyway.
