Welcome to my IDF Walk for Primary Immunodeficiency personal fundraising page! idf.donordrive/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.participant&participantID=3385 Im joining this years Walk to raise funds to improve the diagnosis, treatment and quality of life of persons with primary immunodeficiency diseases through advocacy, education and research. I am asking you to support me and my family in raising donations for the Walk for Primary Immunodeficiency, organized by the Immune Deficiency Foundation. Primary Immunodeficiency or PI as it is often referred to, is a group of more than 200 rare, chronic genetic disorders that affects the bodys immune system. My wife, Tarsha, my partner for 25 years, was finally diagnosed with Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVID) about 3 years ago. She has had so many illnesses in her life and after relentlessly pursuing an answer, she was finally diagnosed. Many people with PI are referred to by caring friends and family as hypochondriacs. There is nothing further from the truth. Many people who live with PID keep most of their issues to themselves due to critical family and friends. Tarsha has had pneumonia at least 10 times. She has had countless other illnesses and allergic reactions. She now needs to administer her own infusions with four needles and a pump, once a week for the rest of her life to keep her immunity strong. My daughter Meagan and I are walking in Immune Deficiency Foundations Walk for Primary Immunodeficiency - Boston on October 5th. Our team, Mak Zebras, would like to ask you to make a donation on our page idf.donordrive/participant/MakZebras . The IDF Walk for Primary Immunodeficiency is one of those ways that IDF supports the PI community. Please support my commitment and donate to my Walk fundraising efforts today. Thank you for your support! If you would like to join my team, please click on my team name below my name above.
