Well I just got kicked out of Tajikistan and am back in Kazakhstan. I got about two more weeks and plan to explore southern Kazakhstan for the next 5 days or so and then spend the rest of the time in Kyrgyzstan. I rented a car in Astana and had multiple run ins with the police, twice two different police officers put me in their car and yelled at me in Russian. The funny thing was I was willing to pay one of them off but because I speak no Russian and he spoke no English he didnt understand and finally sent me on my way. The Grand Canyons of Kazakhstan, are a few hours east and Im debating getting a car again, but really dont feel like running into police again.
