Well, an entirely successful travel day. We left Milwaukee at 5:30 AM and got to Fort Lauderdale just after noon (through Cleveland) We picked up the rental car and found Pelicans Landing for lunch, a place Mary had picked out. We had conch fritters and coconut shrimp; very delicious. After wandering around the marina for a while (Steven Spielberg brings his $285 million dollar yacht here on occasion). We went and checked in at the Ramada Inn the tour provides. Had a short beach walk around sunset then went to Best Buy to get a USB cable for the camera which Jim forgot to bring. The cable is proprietary so I tried a card reader which was a complete bust. As a result there will be no pictures posted until at least tomorrow. A good day and a promising start to the trip.
