Well done, West Coast Softball Academy Softball Camp! You took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge with style! Every year the softball camp is held in Sylvan Lake with organizers from Vancouver and Edmonton; attracting players from across Alberta and coaches from across North America. Organizer Kim Wright, is head coach of the Venezuelan Womens National Softball Team. With several people in the camp having connections to family and friends with ALS, they thought the annual camp In Sylvan Lake was a great place to participate in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge together, and in doing so nominate teammates and coaches across North America to do the same. The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has grown in popularity bringing never-before-seen levels of awareness to the neurological disease, and is credited with bringing in tens of millions of additional dollars to ALS charities, so far.
