Well, look. I know its lame to sit back and be showered with thoughtful birthday wishes all day and then just make one, lump attempt to express what it means to me and to express my gratitude. Yet, I couldnt possibly respond appropriately to every message I received today, so here I go with that lame lump attempt. I am overwhelmed and humbled by the number of friends from all facets of my life, from all over the world, who took time out of their day to let me know they were thinking of me today. I appreciate, more than I can express, that youre there. That youre there to share a neat photo or funny story with. That youre there to lean on a bit when I need a little support. That youre there when I need to laugh, or vent, or find an answer. And that youre there when I forget how lucky I am to be having another birthday, and to have so many people show up for this little virtual surprise party. Thank you so, so much. Ed. 4.22.14
