Well, the work is done, naked, featherless, and ready to eat chickens are all processed. Farmer David had a full day of chicken processing along with Farmer Luke. In addition, we wanted to let you know that although all the chickens from our last batch are sold, we have chicken feet, necks and legs for purchase. They are $5.00 for a 1/2 pound. There are many health benefits that come from the chicken head, necks and feet. When simmered, not boiled, gelatin and collagen are released, along with many trace minerals. Collagen is used throughout the body and is specially good for the skin. Gelatin helps regain elasticity in skin and helps with digestion. So if you are concerned about those wrinkles, get your chicken feet, head and necks. Oh, so good. And because there are so many good nutrients, a good dosage of homemade chicken stock is good for those sick little ones, as well as for mom and pop. Supplies are limited.
