Well today is the second day of congressional dumbass day! I wanted to point out some of the impacts our USDA agency has on our counties natural resources and economic stability. It is projected that our local farmers and ranchers, who are the life blood of our county, will invest approximately 20 million dollars back into our county from conservation incentive payments EARNED through various USDA Conservation Programs over the next 4-5 yrs. These programs are intend to provide an incentitive to farmers and ranchers for implementing resource management techniques and strategies that improve production from the land, improve inefficiencies, help defray increasing input costs, and helps sustain our natural resources so future generations can enjoy clean water and affordable food. We are so fortunate that the American farmer does not operate in the same miserable manner the our Federal Government does. The actions currently taking place in D.C. jeopardizes this support structure, which at some point will affect us all.
