Well, we had an election recently and unfortunately my democrats got our butts handed to us. First off, congratulations republicans. I hope you guys show up ready to work. Now, because of the recent election people are wanting to revisit the 2008-2009 recession and economic collapse of the U.S. economy. For people who dont know, the recession had nothing to do with President Bush, President Obama or any political legislation from either party. The recession was caused by OPEC and Hurricane Katrina. After Katrina hit OPEC took unnecessarily took advantage of that catastrophe and tripled the cost of oil literally overnight. That caused the cost of gas to triple. Because 10% of every drop of gas you put in your vehicle comes from corn the cost of corn jumped 100%. That caused food costs to increase because 99% of all food products contain some type of corn in them. After that we saw an increase in the cost of plastic. For those who do not know, plastic is the #1 byproduct of oil, even more so than gasoline. Everything in your home contains or was shipped in some type of plastic. The combination of these things then caused the housing market collapse because middle and lower class families could no longer afford to pay their mortgage or rent because most of their income was going towards fuel costs. That led to the stock market collapse. People started pulling their money out and selling off their stocks because they needed that cash liquid so they could simply pay their bills. That then led to businesses shutting down and laying workers off which caused the welfare explosion. To sum all this up, dont be mad at the current political landscape right now if you disagree with our current economic situation. Be mad at the oil industry and OPEC.........P.S. OH YEAH, DEMOCRATS ARE THE ONLY EXISTING POLITICAL PARTY IN THE U.S. RIGHT NOW THAT OPPOSES THE EXISTENCE OF OPEC. CONSIDER THAT NEXT TIME YOU ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE CURRENT U.S. ECONOMY AND DEFINITELY THINK ABOUT THAT IN NOV. 2016. IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO ADDRESS THE FACTS OF WHAT IS CAUSING THE PROBLEM THEN YOU BECOME PART OF THE PROBLEM.
