Went to see MALEFICENT last night. Good movie. What I enjoyed most was the underlying message of what I mentioned in my post the other day! What HATRED does to YOU. People will hurt you, disappoint you, betray you, show you they dont love you as much as you love them, and make you feel like you cant trust anyone. BUT when you start to believe the LIE that you cant trust, when you believe the LIE that no one will ever love you as deep as youre capable of loving, YOU become the monster you hate the person who hurt you for being. And then, after reveling in negativity and ugliness, when you realize youre consumed and youve wasted your life hurting others rather than enjoying your blessings and bettering yourself, comes the self-loathing. The recognition that Im a bad person. The guilt, shame, and REGRET will either wipe you out, or force you to break through past those walls of darkness. When you can let go, forgive yourself for being human, forgive those that hurt you for the same reason, and decide to use your energy to build up instead of tear down, and FOCUS ONLY ON YOUR OWN ACTIONS & REACTIONS rather than anyone elses, everything turns around. The sun comes out, and you can inhale and exhale again without that pain in your chest pressing down on you with every breath.
