Were going through our FAVOURITE ALBUMS OF 2014 from now until the new year. #3 Joyce Manor - Never Hungover Again Vinyl LP (w/ CD copy inside) in-stock $25 CD in-stock $20 3rd album from the Californian punk quartet and first for Epitaph Records. Released mid-year and barely out of in-store rotation since. As our last.fm account can attest (500+ Joyce Manor plays in the last 12 months, our most played artist of 2014!) this album has an undeniable sense of immediacy you almost cant help but flip it back to track 1 at the albums conclusion. The slender playing time surely helps (19 mins in total, averaging just under 2 mins per track), but that has a lot to do with why we love Joyce Manor so much. Theyve perfected the art of left-field pop-punk and made every minute of this album essential. Other, much worse punk groups may have laid claim to the All Killer No Filler tag in the past, but this album would truly live up to such a title. Pop-punk is not a dirty word, and Joyce Manor have proven so with an album thats as weirdly clever as it is shamelessly catchy.
