Were pleased to announce the start of our Dream Item Contest. The Grand Prize? £500 to spend at auction on LiveAuctioneers! To enter, check out our How to Bid video below and comment with the item from the video youd most like to buy at auction and why. Thats it! Well announce the winner this Friday. Good luck, everyone! Here are the official rules: Employees and contractors (and their respective families) of The Promoter (including any group companies) are not eligible to enter. The Prize consists of a credit of £500 by bank transfer or other electronic transfer from LiveAuctioneers to the Auction House directly. The payment will only be made on receipt of the invoice, forwarded by the Winner, from the Auction House for the lot (s) purchased by the Winner, to a maximum of £500. If the item(s) purchased by the Winner at auction totals less than £500 the amount remaining will NOT be due to the Winner. The promoter will only pay the amount shown on the Auction House invoice, up to £500 (not including shipping/P&P charges) It is advised that the Winner should first check in what country the auction is being held to satisfy themselves that the shipping/P&P costs are reasonable to them before proceeding with bidding on their chosen item. Only the actual cost of the lot(s) will be covered by the Prize fund. The Winner will be notified via personal message on Facebook. If the Winner does not acknowledge the prize within 14 days LiveAuctioneers will reallocate the prize to another randomly chosen Winner. The Winner must claim the Prize within 6 months from being notified, or the Prize will be withdrawn. The Winner will be selected at random from the pool of all Entrants. It is the responsibility of entrants to notify the promoter of any change of contact details. Proof of identity may be required. Use of false details will result in disqualification. The person entering the competition must make the entry – entries sent through third parties, agencies or by automated means (such as scripts and macros) will not be accepted. The promoter will have the right to publicly disclose the name of the winner(s) and their city/town of residence. The Prize will only be offered to a Winner based in the UK. The promoter reserves the right to provide a substitute prize of similar value should the need arise. The payment of all costs and expenses involved in claiming a Prize, including shipping and P&P charges, are the responsibility of the Winner. If the potential winner cannot be contacted or the Prize notification is returned or is undeliverable, such potential winner forfeits all rights to any Prize, and an alternate winner may be selected. An unclaimed Prize may not be awarded. The Prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. Entry implies acceptance of these terms and conditions as final and binding. Entries that are not in accordance with the terms and conditions will be disqualified. Entrants are required to meet the Entry Criteria but otherwise no other purchase is necessary. Any omission to exercise, or delay in exercising, any right or remedy under these terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver by the promoter of that, or any other, right or remedy. The promoter reserves the right to suspend, cancel or modify the prize draw at any time (and for any reason) without notice. The promoter shall not be responsible for damages, losses or liabilities of any kind, including without limitation, direct, indirect or consequential loss or damages arising out of or in relation to the prize draw. Nothing in this condition shall limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury as a result of the promoter’s negligence. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The prize draw will be governed by English law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
