Weve been busy getting our butterfly exhibit ready for the season! While planting the new annuals and perennials, we accidentally disturbed one of the toads who have taken up residence in the exhibit the part few seasons. Weve seen her hopping around eating the rolly polly bugs in the beds (which is great as they harm the plants!). Also, not all of our swallowtails hatched out last year. They overwintered in the chrysalis stage in the exhibit and have started to emerge this week. Are you excited for the return of butterflies? The exhibit reopens April 19th!
