What Make Kids Happy? – Part 2 Let each quote inspire you and spur you to impart true happiness to your kids. Children are simply and easily satisfied. The slightest gesture makes them laugh with glee. You don’t have to make them happy because they’re actually bubbled-up with happiness. Just don’t burst it. Kids are happy when parents tell them to be happy. Kids are seen going to class with their parents telling them “not to worry” and “not to be afraid”, that daddies and mummies will watch over them every hour or so. These kids tend to be afraid and cautious during class compared to kids whose parents simply tell them “Go have a great time!” and leave them alone to play. There are three things that a child can teach us: To be happy for no reason; to be always busy doing something; and to know how to demand – with all one’s might – what one wants. Sound familiar? Kids love a good joke, fun stories and surprises. Something that makes them laugh. Develop your kids’ strengths while nurturing their weaknesses; empower them with the feeling of accomplishment. This is true happiness. When you’re with your kids, listen to them, love them and show concern without imposing your ways on them. Be genuinely interested when they tell you their stories; answer their every question, no matter how silly it may be to you. Aspire to be their true models and heros! Be that someone whom they’re proud to call “mum and dad”. Today’s kids are explorers. They have inquisitive minds and can’t wait to move ahead. So let them explore and learn. They are happy when they are with their friends. They yearn to share “an equal relationship” with their parents, that is, they want to feel a sense of responsibility, and to know that their parents trust them and acknowledge them as independent individuals. Do not confine your children to your own learning as they were born in another time. Involve your kids in small things; accept them; spend time with time; help them accomplish new things; and most of all, hug them. Share this if you like. Baby Milk-Milk :)
