What else but the budget! Abbot is a futurist! Decrease soft diplomacy, but increase military hardware to deal with new conflicts. Decrease funding for programs addressing issues of young unemployed males but increase funding for policing and surveillance. Decrease funding for education but increase funding for school chaplains who can then deal with the new anxieties. Dismantle health but fund ballerinas so we can be joyful. The budget winner: military hardware sellers who moonlight as chaplains and enjoy ballet.
