What is Teacher ? That who gives you lecture on any topic or that who transform you ? For me, the teacher is light in darkness and it is also true that the teacher is spring from where a needy meet his/her thirst. Years passed but I still remember my teachers of Primary Sain (Word of my mother tong language i.e. Sindhi which is being used for teachers as an alternative of Sir) Moula Bux and Sain/Sir Abdul Rasheed Panhwar who taught me in primary. At Secondary level of schooling Sain Usman Memon taught me in grade six, Sain Niaz Jatoi in seven, Sain Haji Ghulam Rasool Qureshi (died recently) in eight, sain Jamaluddin Khoso in grade nine and Sain Sachal Shah taught me in grade ten. At college level, Professor Ustad Bughakri (a legendry poet of Sindh), Professor Mashooq Baloch, Professor Afaq Ansari, Professor Jagirani remained my ideal mentors. How can I miss to remember my university teachers at Mass Communication Department of Sindh University. The taste of sweet teaching of Professor Ibadullah Shah Rashdi, Late Profesor Khan Muhammad Panhwar, Prof Dr. Suresh Makhijani, Professor Dr. Badar Soomro, Professor Rizwana Chang, Professor Fozia Jafri and Professor Agha Rafiq is still alive in me. They all tried hard to shape me from a rough stone to a good human. In my life at Sindh University, my friend Saeed Memon who though was a librarian but he taught me like teachers. They were good friends along with teachers with few of whom we enjoyed drinking, dancing, travelling and shared romance tales. My eagerness for learning is going on, as in the age of 45 I am getting education of Digital Media. Here in Toronto Canada’s Ryreson University, my mentors include a wonderful and smart lady Professor Lil Blume two young and beautiful girls Professor Jaigris Hodson and Professor Ramona Pringle. Along with them I have a dynamic teacher Professor Sean Wise and young computer brain Professor Vince Duquette and Professor Michael Carter who every day are opening for me new windows of technological wisdom, knowledge and learning. Their dedication with this noble profession is matchless as they remain ready to spare time for my type of most confused students of class after classes and through Skype even. What a great saying is that:- to the sleeper, the teacher is the wake-up call of birds at sunrise; to clay, the teacher is potter, sculptor, and trainer in self-shaping; to the wanderer, the teacher is a knowing guide; to the developed mind, the teacher is colleague, listener, friend. Also, the teacher is a mirror that shows not only the self but the path and its choices, the task and its demands--the difficulties, the joys and the teacher is a learner, a person--and a prism through which the ordinary reveals itself to be miraculous. On “Teachers International Day” I pay my deep regards and rich tribute to all my teachers of past and my present. It is my firm belief that I am nothing and if I am something, I am because of my TEACHERS.
