What the hell is wrong,guys? I cant stop but wonder what happened to the electronic music in general...Seems like theres some sort an unofficial sound design contest nowadays leaving no space for the music as an element to breath inside the tracks...The melodic lines,the structure,the musical twist inside the very soul of any genre of electronic music seems like its vanished...I find it extremely absurd and dissapointing,not to say frustrating,the fact that the innovative sound design stomps over any musicality that may have been in there from the very beggining...Yes,there ARE some very talented folks around (specially in my favourite genre,breaks) and yes the UNIQUENESS of a SOUND can sometimes be a kind of a signature BUT can it stand alone as a whole???Thats all we should care about,these days? I guess it comes down to personal taste i reckon,doesnt it? Food for thought...
