Whatever the outcome of the ALP Caucus meeting at 7pm this evening, there are a few important things to remember. Who represents you locally MATTERS. In this country we do not vote for the Prime Minister, any more than we vote for the Leader of the Opposition. Despite what you may have heard from the media this has been a GOOD government. Nearly SIX HUNDRED pieces of legislation have passed through the 43rd Parliament. Including DisabilityCare (NDIS), Education reforms, health reforms, Aged Care reforms. These are HUGE reforms. These are reforms that will improve our lives for the better going forward. No matter who emerges as Prime Minister and leader of the Labor party we will have a leader of the oldest and greatest political party in this country. We will have someone who will be able to stick it to Tony Abbott who is one of the most dangerous, regressive politicians this country has ever seen and he simply must not be allowed to lead the country.
