When I first was asked and called to move to Haiti as a missionary with Victory Compassion I was extremely shy. I already knew my teammates from the short term trip I took previous to moving or I had already known them as friends. I can say now that after just about four months of bring there, as we took a trip to the Dominican Republic, that they really encouraged me to get out of my shell and just be myself. That is the kind of people you need in your life. I am so blessed that God placed these people, who became family that season, in my life. If your called to be a full time missionary or even just a short term then I highly recommend an internship of some kind. This group of missionaries are doing extraordinary things or Christ now. And even though we are a part in different places, some in the same and others in another state, we still have a strong bond. Our directors now will be leading an internship called Missionary Training Center at the Love A Child Ministry base in Haiti and I will be applying as well. https://youtube/watch?v=i_FRpqHT--4
