When I was 21, my Mother invited me to go to this side of the road biker bar in Dallas. I said I would go but I was apprehensive about the people there. My mom said that the owner of the bar was Dusty Hill, the bassist for ZZ Top and it was his hangout. She said she had met him with a friend and Dusty invited them to his bar. Well, we went to the little bar and got to know the regulars and they served "Texas biker spaghetti" (which was spiced up with red pepper and Tabasco, and it was actually quite good). We were just sitting there enjoying the music, when suddenly "Sharp Dressed Man" came blaring out of the jukebox. Then a door behind the bar flew open and there was Dusty Hill, strumming on a toy guitar and performing to his own song. It was a riot! Mr. Hill was the nicest, down to earth man and you would never have known that he was such a big celebrity. Great moment in my life. Just had to share...Oh and...Thanks Mom, I sure do miss you.
