When Will Other Governors Follow Gary Juffa’s Fight Against Illegal Land Grabs & Illegal Logging?#ORO_CHEIF_LAND_ENFORCEMENT_UNIT_DETAINS_5_ASIANS YAY! In late September this year Governor of Oro Gary Juffa officially established PNG’s first ever Land Enforcement Unit (LEU) under Oro Province Administrative powers. The LEU has spearheaded a local organisation called Operation Rausim Alien,” which works in liaison with Customs, Police & Migration to eradicate foreign illegal logging in Oro.” On the 11th of October Gary Juffa states “The fight for what is right will be relentless.” He received a satisfactory report from LEU that 5 illegal Chinese aliens had been detained. Further the LEU reported that a barge & tonnes of logging heavy equipment unlawfully stationed on State Property in Collingwood Bay had been also impounded. The illegal asians and their protectors are now lobbying round the clock to remove the mandated Juffa - Bori Government to protect their cronies. Juffa personally sends this warning: “This is only the beginning...Open Member for Ijivitari David Arore, Provincial Lands Officer Copland Gewa and Town Mayor Norman Ivahupa...perhaps you can all explain why you are hellbent on removing Juffa and lobbying into the late hours and meeting in strange places in Popondetta and Port Moresby and gathering the LLG Presidents and offering them all manner of inducements? Juffa is mandated by the people..NOT you or anybody political or involved in business for that matter...you will have to seek the permission of the PEOPLE to remove him....you have to explain to them why our efforts to protect their resources and their future is in some way contrary to your interests”. Gary Juffa further states “recent intelligence suggested many asian business houses in Oro were funding this exercise for the lobbyists.” If so....Juffa asks them “what right do they have to remove the very person placed in the office of the Governor to protect his people and his people’s interests” It will not end even if you succeed in removing him...he will continue...and he is prepared to fight for the rights of his people...
