When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, (Though Jesus Himself BAPTIZED NOT, but His DISCIPLES)… (John 4:1,2)… Far too often the Body of Christ has gotten it all wrong what it means to DO the Father’s BUSINESS. We’re BOMBARDED with PRAYER MEETINGS, PRAYER CONFERENCES, PRAYER GROUPS, TELE-PRAYER, ALL-NIGHT PRAYER, OUTDOORS PRAYER, and PRAYER, PRAYER, PRAYER until you just can’t PRAY anymore. And the ONLY REASON we’re having so much PRAYER is because we want God to DO all the WORK. We don’t want to get out on the FRONT LINES and get OUR hands dirty. We don’t want to get up CLOSE and PERSONAL to WITNESS or EVANGELIZE about Jesus and SOUL SALVATION - we just want to PRAY that they get SAVED. This way, if what’s being PRAYED for doesn’t get DONE, it’s easier to put the BLAME on God, or use some DISCLAIMER as to WHY the PRAYERS didn’t PRODUCE what was PRAYED for. But Jesus COMMANDED us to DO the WORK of God, just as He DEMANDED that His disciples DO the WORK of God. When He wanted people BAPTIZED, He neither PRAYED for God to DO it nor did He personally DO it. When He wanted the Word of God EVANGELIZED, He didn’t PRAY for God to DO it – He SENT out His disciples to DO it. The reason why Satan is wreaking HAVOC in the land is because the CHURCH is so busy PRAYING but not DOING the WORK that NEEDS to be DONE once we get up off our knees! With all these PRAYER EVENTS the Body of Christ keeps holding year in and year out – the EARTH should be looking like HEAVEN; that is, if GOD is supposed to DO all the WORK! No, Jesus didn’t tell us to JUST PRAY; but He COMMANDED us to also WORK. We cannot PRAY lost SOULS into the Kingdom of God – we have to GO OUT and TELL them about Jesus and SALVATION. The Church’s PROBLEM is too much PRAYING and NOT ENOUGH WORKING!!!
