When we planned the color on the MLG films we wanted them to really stand out from our competition. We really wanted them to look like a movie than just another TV episode. Having more time in development gave us a chance to pull away from the "one color pallet fits all mentality." The Marvel characters are all very colorful in their own way in the comics and on screen, we wanted to take advantage of that and utilize "special color models" for each sequence. These are the Elementals from "Invincible Iron Man". Each color reflects the location of each segment of the film. The better the characters worked in harmony with their surroundings the better the viewer was pulled into the world of the screen moment. If the characters were the same color from sequence to sequence it would make for a more jarring transition for the viewer and pull them out of the moment.(more to come later)
