When you are feeling most frustrated, try these four things: 1) Tell yourself, I dont need to let this bother me, (address negative self-talk) 2) Ask yourself, What do I need? and (self-care) 3) Ask yourself, What does my child need? (attunement) 4) Ask, What are options to solve the problem? (higher level thinking--problem solving) Frustration is usually a combination of negative self-talk gone unchecked, needs unmet, and problem solving forgotten. When those are attended to, big emotions are given a path to be resolved. #Frustration #PositiveParenting
