While exploring new iOs8 features now I stumbled across a Scott Weiland playlist on YouTube and thought Id share this live vid of a song from his 1997/98 solo album 12 Bar Blues. It was an absolute oddball album with a heavy Tom Waits influence. Scott singing live post his first drug bust and trip to rehab in 1995 sounds a lot like Johnny Rotten combined with I imagine John Lennon with his own voice guiding the direction. He sells his studio work with ample vocal tone references to Jim Morison, however the energy required to do that live requires a lot of narcotic stimulation... Or so he implies. ;)
