Whiplash was a really good movie! Strongly recommend it. Miles Teller has always played kind of a smart ass in his other films, but he is well cast here, and J.K. Simmons is simply incredible. Brutal (mentally) at times, but worth the ride. The last 10 or 15 minutes is pure raw emotion and powerful as hell. THAT is the way you end a movie. If you like music, if you like jazz, and if you like really good filmmaking, this is worth checking out. As J.K.
