Who has wisdom, knowledge and insight? Dear child of God, I have wrote the following poem with the help of the Lord, to explain this statement in God’s Word: Jeremiah 51:17 ”Everyone is dull-hearted, without knowledge...” Another Bible translation reads as follows: ”Every man is stupid and without knowledge...” May God grant us true wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Love ~ Uncle Jacques and Aunt Mary. • Every man or women at times are foolish; becoming even brutish. They delight in their own rights, that inevitably lead to quarrels and fights. Their own wisdom and knowledge are their delight, to place them on human heights. Proverbs 10:23 ”To do evil is like sport to a fool ...” • They think themselves to be clever, depending on their own power and abilities, ever! So they climb the mountains of life, to cause problems and strife! Luke 14:11 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. • They are proud, arrogant and conceited; they hate to be defeated, and when asked to be seated, their own thoughts and opinions make them fall over their own feet ~ their downfall to meet! Proverbs 28:26 ”He who trusts in his own heart is a fool...” • How worthless and small are such people when God causes them to fall! • Many people think that knowledge is power, but in their needy hour they fade away like a once beautiful flower. It is useless in the hour of disaster and real need; it disappears with great speed. 1 Corinthians 8:2 ”And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know.” • When they are stripped of their hopeful dreams, they loose steam and become even mean, as they loose their self-esteem ~ They are humbled as they stumble. Isaiah 47:10 Your wisdom and your knowledge have warped you; and you have said in your heart, ‘I am, and there is no one else besides me.” • O, how small have become the once rich and tall, that has come to a fall. • Our human knowledge and wisdom, is at times to no avail, even as a Christian. It has its place among the human race, but with no room for God’s grace. • We truly need the wisdom and knowledge of God, for that is being smart; it brings healing to the foolish heart! It teaches us to live according to God’s way, to take our problems and cares away! • Seek the Source; Godly wisdom and knowledge will become yours. Do not shun or mock God’s precious gift, Because it will form an erring and dangerous rift! • Only true down-to-earth and humble people, are not feeble. They are blessed with Godly insight, and do not strive after power and might. They find their strength in God ~ now that is being smart! • True knowledge and insight is pure and sweet ~ it directs out feet; honest and upright people to meet! This is what after which we all should strive, in this present life! Proverbs 1:20-23 ”Wisdom calls aloud outside; She raises her voice in the open squares. She cries out in the chief concourses, at the openings of the gates in the city She speaks her words: How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge. Turn at my rebuke; surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you.” Proverbs 1:1-7 ”To know wisdom and instruction, to perceive the words of understanding, to receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, judgment, and equity; to give prudence to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion - A wise [man] will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel…” Proverbs 14:16 ”A wise man fears and departs from evil, but a fool rages (boil with rage) and is self-confident.” Facebook: Jacques van der Hoven.
