In yesterday’s Business Day, Natasha Marrian wrote: “Mr Vavi’s backers have warned against further action, citing the federation’s support for President Jacob Zuma when he faced rape charges for which he was acquitted.” In fact, COSATU did not support Cde JZ during the rape trial. COSATU’s policy during that trial was to “let the law take its course”. The same was true of the SACP and the ANC. They supported the legal process, which did proceed and resulted in the acquittal of Cde Zuma. #No Blank Pages in History#
